Dr. Rachel Davis, Ph. D. – Mentoring Students and Professionals

Dr. Rachel Davis (Ph.D.) offers counselling to high school and undergraduate students and their parents in making difficult and complex higher education decisions. She helps them through facilitated discussions, guided counselling and decision making, taking into consideration the student’s aptitude, interests, individuality, opportunities and family resources.

Through her various positions as Provost, Dean and Program Director she is extremely knowledgeable about the selection and admission processes in various disciplines and countries. She has 30 years of practical experience working with students from all over the world helping them to achieve their educational and career goals.

She brings both a wide and in-depth knowledge of higher education offerings and subsequent career options to her counselling. One of the goals of the counselling is to help students and their parents gain a better understanding of each other’s perspectives and expectations of higher education and its career outcomes.

Dr. Rachel Davis has been a learning and educational change management consultant to academic institutions in Singapore, Malaysia and India, for many years.

She was a Visiting Professor at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, USA, 2015-17. She was the founding Dean of Delhi School of Business, 2013-14 and Dean of the Business School and Provost of the Malaysia University of Science and Technology, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 2010 to 2012.

She was one of the founders and the Chief Knowledge Officer of EduMetry, Inc., an academic accreditation consulting firm, Washington, DC and Bangalore, 2007-2010. She was also a Visiting Professor at IIM, Bangalore, at this time.

She was Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore Business School, from 1996 to 2007, where she was also Vice-Dean and Director of the MBA & Executive MBA Programs. Prior to this, she was a faculty member at the Stern School of Business, New York University, USA, from 1988 to 1996. She was also Director of Undergraduate International Business Studies at Stern School of Business.

Dr. Davis is trained in Counselling and Mediation. She received her MBA and PhD in Business at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA; her MA in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; and her BA from Bangalore University.
