What We Do
"You are the sum total of everything you've ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot - it's all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive. "
- Maya Angelou
Every thought has a consequence, either within or outside the body. An active, positive mind leads to a healthy, balanced life. On the other hand, a repressed, frustrated mind can lead to a life filled with health concerns. We face many challenges that don't present themselves in our daily lives. These issues have permeated so deeply into our lives that we don't give them a second thought. When we notice changes in our weight or sleep cycle, we just assume that they are a consequence of a sedentary life spent in front of too many screens, and rush to the gym to try to lose the kilos or start using sleep aids. When we have issues with our stomachs, we buy every known over-the-counter pill, without taking into consideration that even a stressed lifestyle can lead to digestive trouble.
Excessive weight loss or gain, digestive upsets, muscle pains, sleep disorders, apathy or hopelessness are typical symptoms of depression, stress and anxiety.
These chronic conditions left untreated, can give rise to several other health concerns, like chronic pains, autoimmune diseases, and even worries regarding vital organs like the liver and heart. They affect our relationships with family, friends and peers; the resulting social stresses further aggravate the original symptoms. Extreme depression is an established risk factor for suicide. 36% of Indians are likely to suffer from depression at some point in their lives, according to the World Health Organization.
Stress, anxiety, and mood swings are a part and parcel of everyone's life. We just have to accept it, don't we?
Not really! We can reduce, and even eliminate them. While there are several kinds of medication that can treat these illnesses and in some cases require careful supervision by a medical practitioner, they typically come with their own set of side-effects and restrictions and can even be painful to take. Redesigned Thinking offers a range of therapies for different conditions that identify and help alleviate the symptoms and address the issue at the physical, mental and cellular levels. These therapies can go hand in hand with any other healing modalities or treatments.
