Depression is a medical condition not spoken of and discussed much by people. While physical medical conditions have visible symptoms, most mental health conditions are hidden due to lack of visible physical symptoms. Some mental health conditions are so masked under normal behaviour that even the person suffering from such conditions may sometimes be unaware. The symptoms of depression vary from mild or almost unnoticeable to major ones.

From a medical point of view, depression can be defined as a major medical condition which affects the way people feel, act, and think. The severity of depression varies from person to person depending on a multitude of factors. Depending on the severity, even the symptoms of depression vary from individual to individual. However, the incidence of depression is said to be more in women than men.

Anxiety is a state of mind which often goes hand in hand with other mental conditions such as panic attacks, depression, stress, and a range of others. While a little anxiety is commonly seen in most people, it becomes a cause of concern when anxiety limits your thinking and reasoning power, distracts you to the extent of endangering your life, makes you prone to accidents or falls, and so on. A little bit of positive anxiety spurs you to give your best shot at whatever task you undertake. It is however, necessary for you to keep the negative anxiety under check.

Constant anxiety can have debilitating effects, both on the mind and the body. Hence, it is important to understand the cause of the anxiety and get the underlying issue treated as early as possible. This helps people get back to as normal a routine as possible in a relatively shorter time than without treatment of any sort.
